Hellborg Bass Cabinets

These speaker cabinets are designed to address all different musical situations and creative needs. The Big Cab is a full range hi-fi speaker. It easily rivals a large studio monitor in sound quality. The Hi Cab was created to compete with loud guitars. It will give the clarity, presence and volume that you need to compete with a loud band. It can be combined with the Big Cab or the Lo Cab. The Lo Cab is a lo-end compliment to the Hi Cab and also the Club Cab. Finally the Club Cab is designed to be portable, full range and loud enough to deal with any small venue or club setting.

Big and Club Cabs are designed around a coaxial 15" speaker developed in cooperation with Celestion. A powerful full range speaker that takes advantage of the phase linearity that coaxial technology (high frequency driver in the middle of the bass driver) gives. The Big Cab is a hybrid Direct Radiating-Bandpass design giving extended bass response. The Hi Cab uses 12" Celestion speakers with a "whizzer" cone that improves the hi-frequency response to the point that you, in many cases, don't need a tweeter, particularly in music styles that don't call for an exceptionally bright bass sound.
