The Warwick Blue Cab 30 Combo Amp
Take 12

The Take 12 is a powerhouse of an amp that delivers a full range of tones in a set-up that is incredibly easy to dial in. The EQ section gives you control over Lows, Mid Low, Mid High and Treble frequencies, making it better able to contour the ever important mid range of your bass sound. The 12-inch speaker and HF horn work perfectly together to give you fat lows and crystal clear highs. All of these features and more come packed into a very portable and road-ready solid state combo amp. Shouldn't your small amp perform like your full stack? The Take 12 does.

Hands-on Review

"Warwick designate their Take 12 bass combo as being part of their 'semi-professional' series, but I see it as a fully-pro bass combo. Sure, you won't be playing any stadiums with it, but its tone, power and quaility make it pro all the way.

The preamp section offers Low Mid and Hi Mid controls, which any pro player will tell you are crucial to dialing in a myriad of tones. This is also Warwick's smaller combo that comes with a HF horn. I love the sound of a horn, which can give your tone the definition and brightness to cut through the mix, but sometimes I want to turn it off to get some old, Motwon sounds. No problem with the Take 12. Warwick thoughtfully included an off switch for the horn.

From top to bottom this is a serious bass combo for serious players. That is why I am giving it the Smart Buy award."
