The Nobby Meidel is a modern re-issue of one of the first basses that Warwick ever built. It is a headless, neck-through bass design, with a beautiful body that consists of a birdseye poplar top, a maple middle and a wenge back, which creates a bass tone much bigger than this small bass would imply. To make the bass even more comfortable to play, every Nobby Meidel comes with a body chest bow that allows the bass to hang at a comfortable angle. Also included with each bass is a custom stand that securely holds the bass at a perfectly vertical position.
The Nobby Meidel comes loaded with active MEC J and Twin-J pickups, which are backed up with an MEC 3-Band active preamp. This classic Warwick electronics configuration gives players complete control over their tone, making the Nobby a very flexible bass for any situation.
The Nobby Meidel bass is an important part of Warwick's history and is destined to be a vital bass in their future!
