The Streamer LX 2008 LTD is one of the most impressive basses that Warwick has ever made. It also includes a lot of firsts for Warwick. This bass marks the first time that Warwick has used Madrone Burl wood on an instrument and also is the first time that Warwick has used wood picup covers. Another feature that is new for Warwick is the unique pickup controls. The two 3-way mini-switches allow you to select which coil of the the Twin-J pickups you want to use (back coil, front coil or both coils). The large switch lets you select the neck pickup, back pickup or both. As you can see, these controls give you an incredible amount of tone shaping capabilities!
Warwick took a lot of care in selecting the materials for this very special bass. The body features the aforementioned Madrone Burl wood top, with a ekanga/walnut/ekanga middle laminate, and a Swamp ash back. The combination of fine tone woods is not only visually stunning, but creates a huge bottom end with vibrant mids and highs. The neck is made out of flamed maple and has a tigerstriped ebony fingerboard. On the 12th fret there is a custom Eagle's head inlay which is the perfect accent for such a wonderful instrument.
The limited production of this bass insures that the Streamer LX 2008 LTD will be a valuable collector's item for the lucky few who acted fast.
