| Corvette Taranis |

The body of the Corvette Taranis instantly attracts attention by way of its unique oil finish. First the surface of the wood is sand-blasted, then covered in a matte finish lacquer. This treatment results in a wonderfully textured appearance that adds emphasis to the structure and grain of the wood. This method is especially effective on woods like Ash, where the hard and soft areas result in a surface grain of considerable thickness and depth.
The Taranis comes as standard with a low B tuning . This was designed by Warwick to cater for the lower tunings predominant in metal genres. As such the Corvette Taranis was fittingly named after the lord of thunder in Celtic mythology. Impressively equipped with a passive MEC MM/J pickup configuration, the tone of the Taranis is extremely well balanced. The large pole piece MEC neck pickup has been specifically designed to accompany the MEC MM humbucker. The result is that both pickups compliment one another perfectly and despite being completely passive, are surprisingly powerful.
The Taranis is available as a 4-string tuned B/E/A/D or as a 5-string tuned B/E/A/D/G.
