This month we turn the spotlight on Rocket Music in Blacksburg, VA! Greg Bump and his partner Dan Dunlap recently purchased Rocket Music and have really turned it into one of the most successful stores around. Dan is one of the best instrument and amp technicians in the Virginia. "Dan is an ace with instrument setups and amp repairs, so we do a ton of repairs in-house. With 95% of the repairs being done in-house, the turnaround is fast (often same day) and the price is painless," says Greg.

Rocket Music also offers bass lessons with Cameron McClaughlin, who is an incredible bassist and a gifted teacher. His main musical outlet these days is a dual-bass-player band called Balancing Act.

Greg and his team have really ramped up their Warwick inventory, stocking both Warwick basses and Warwick amps. "We've made a conscious decision to change the store's focus upward with about 80% of our product offerings in the mid-level and high-end," adds Greg. Way to go, Greg!
